Some Newbie Questions - Guild Wars Forums

I've got a question.
I did the quest from Sir Tydus, and i ended in the destroyed world. Everything before was nice and now the world has changed. So, my question is, is the whole world changed or is it only Ascalon that has changed?

Everything on your map is different now. Though not everything has the dark atmosphere Old Ascalon has.

We wouldent know, nobody was able to venture out pre-searing. But I imagine the fall of Ascalon had a big impact on the world as a whole.

Old Ascalon is cool, but sooo depresing. im glad its not all like that. You get to see everything from Ruined nations ( ascalon) to snow covered mountains,beautiful beachfront property, dense jungle, bleached desert, volcanic islands, and even the underworld.

Just wait till you get to the dark cave with that nasty killer rabbit .. no-one has gotten past it yet

There are/were 3 human kingdoms: Ascalon, Kryta, and Orr. Orr was completely destroyed. Ascalon was destoyed but there were many survivors. Kryta was attacked but they turned to faith. They are the only kingdom who is prospering.

So, Orr and Ascalon has changed. The Land of the Dwarves in the Shiver Peak Mountain is the same and Kryta is the same. In other words, it's not all Mad Max post apocolyptic.

I think I got that straight.
